Clinical Psychologist – George / Knysna

I am Louis Labuschagne, a registered clinical psychologist practising in Knysna and George.

I provide evidence-based, integrative psychotherapy that is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and circumstances. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to provide treatment that is responsive to each person’s goals and experiences.

My work is grounded in professional curiosity, clinical rigour, and a deep respect for every individual’s capacity for resilience, growth, and lasting change.

I obtained my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Stellenbosch University and completed my internship at Sterkfontein Psychiatric Hospital, followed by my community service year at Oudtshoorn Correctional Centre. My clinical experience includes work within psychiatric hospitals, general hospitals, correctional services, and the Western Cape Education Department, where I have worked with individuals presenting with diverse psychological needs.

In addition to my clinical psychology qualifications, I hold a Master of Arts in Psychology and an LLB (Law) degree from North-West University, Potchefstroom.

Beyond my work as a psychologist, I value balance, family, reflection, an active lifestyle, music, and spending time outdoors. I believe these moments help me stay grounded and enable me to bring greater presence, authenticity, and compassion to the therapeutic work I do with my clients.
